Hazel continued her apprenticeship in country music vocals last weekend at the Buller Country Music Club gathering at the local social club. She donned a borrowed blue dress and, with the help of a strong band backing her up, delivered another star performance–this time singing the Kris Kristofferson classic “Help Me Make it Through the Night” (Sammi Smith version of course).
In an effort to put his money where his mouth is, Hazel’s dad also performed and received, not surprisingly, a less enthusiastic–but still welcoming–response from the local audience. Sorry–no clip for this one, but let’s just say he’s not quite ready to quit his (currently non-existent) day job….
She is great!! An artist in the making! Aw..c’mon, Dad, we want to hear you too!! Please send lots of photos from the upcoming Grandma and Grandpa McD visit!! We’re looking forward to seeing the photos!!
I’m clapping enthusiastically for both Hazel and Jeremy. I feel like I am in the audience sharing the stardom.
